FIC RECS

I know some authors do this and I thought I would share some fics that I have really enjoyed/am enjoying with you. Basically, I'm just going to give you the lowdown of which fics I have favourited and then the reason why you should do the same. I am not like loads of people in the fic world who favourite like 500 - I think I have 7. So... these ones are pretty special.

1. Little Fish, Big Fish by Michelle M Marie and Paige Parkker

What's it about?

Bella moves to Forks with her best friend Jazz after her mom commits suicide and meets Edward Cullen the cool arrogant but also down to earth jock. He thinks she's a freak at first and of course she thinks he's a bit of a prick but guess what... they both find that they cannot get enough of each other.

Mon opinion

I like this story because of how unique it is. Both writers write Edward + Bella in such a original way that I am in awe and in shits of giggles every time I read it. It's not exactly a conventional love story with conventional Edward and Bella - but that's why I like it. Throw in loads of weed, Jasper with dread locks, a brooding jock Edward and a freakazoid Bella and you've got yourself this weird little story that I just sorta.... adore.

2. What Happens At Charlie's Wedding by velvetbutterfly

What happens:

So Bella goes back to Forks with her friend Alice as her father is getting married to Esme. Bella finds out that Esme's brother Carlisle, who is also Charlie's best man, is like....really hot. Evidently, he feels the same way about Bella and sparks really fly. However, it all suddenly gets confusing when Carlisle's son, Edward, decides to visit for the wedding, too.

Opinions

Okay, I would just want to say firstly, any Carlisle fans who haven't read this... you should definitely give it a go. Also for anyone who is beginning to get a little bored of Edward and Bella stories. I have thought this one was hot right from the get go, to be honest. Carlisle is the hot older man we have all fantasised about and Bella is the younger horny girl who lives it out for us. A definite must-read for the smut-lovers!

3. Tracking Redemption by Shoefreak37

What's it about?

For once, it's not an AH story. It's an AU which gives a VERY interesting twist on New Moon. Bella is killed by Laurent in the meadow so Edward goes to visit the dreaded Volterra to meet his supposed end to existance. However, when the Volturi learn of his powers, they don't let him die - instead they ask him to work for them for a few months and join the guard. Whilst Edward is there, Demetri becomes his sort of mentor, and through explainable means, Edward discovers that perhaps he prefers a little bit of...male.

Verdict

I don't usually like slash, so for me, this was a bit of a challenge at first. But I thought Demetri and Edward was such a weird but interesting couple that I had never seen done before, so I had to read it. I'm not too much of a Bella fan, so I do like to read other stories where Edward ends up with another person - just usually, it's a girl. However, this story pleasantly surprised me...definitely. I mean, it's just so beautifullly written and the love between Edward and Demetri is almost tangible. I have just learnt to love it so much. If there's complete E/B fans out there who are not willing to give it a try, there is a (horrible) chance that Bella isn't actually dead.... so, you know. Give it a go! I also would definitely recommend this to slash lovers!

4. The Apple Doesn't Fall Far by Twighlit

What is it?

Another AU, but this is also very interesting. Edward still left Bella in New Moon, but he returns like 24 years later back to Forks and Bella still lives there but she is married to Jacob and they have a daughter named Emma. Edward does not know this until one day in Chemistry, he has a new lab partner...which happens to be Bella's daughter.

And?

I love this because the character of Emma is just so loveable and suits Edward so much more than Bella does and makes her seem boring, quite frankly. I love all the little twists and turns and all the unexpected things in this story whilst still keeping the characters in canon (apart from FINALLY taking the stick out of Edward's arse). When Bella finds out who her new daughters boyfriend is, she takes steps to win him back as the hole inside of her returns. Does Edward only love Emma because he reminds her of what she once had? What makes Emma so different from Bella that she can be in his world and Bella can't? Who will he choose? So many questions so many unresolved answers. A definite must-read for canon Bella haters. (Like me.)

5. Master of the Universe by Snowqueens Icedragon

Hmmm. If you haven't read this then why are you reading MY stories? Enough said.

Unexpectedly Chapter 8: The Confession

I liked writing this chapter - it got me to convey loads of emotions through Edward and Bella's eyes as they made so much progress in their relationship. What happened in this chapter was a huge step for them... but can they handle the aftermath?

I know people wanted lemons, but as I have expressed many times I believe in building up a relationship first before jumping into sex. Yeah, like the next person I really do love lemons, but even as a reader rather than a writer I appreciate them more when there has been so much tension and a proper story before hand. It makes them more special and so much more hotter!

I thought I would post some pictures as to what I imagine Edward's house to be like, so here they are!

This would be the entrance to his house but the house would be a lot bigger. This would be the style and the amount of seclusion, though. Its like a secret getaway.

This would be Edward's bedroom but without the photos and a little less contemporary. The same sort of size, colour scheme and layout though.

The kitchen and where they ate their dinner. This is exactly how I imagine it, actually. Just with a wooden table and more windows.

I imagined this to be the living room (without the odd decor on the walls. Just without the animals, yeah?)

So er, thanks for reading all of this! I hope this gives you some sort of idea of what the house looks like as there might be quite a bit of time spent there.

Hope you enjoyed the chapter, too. I like to try and make innocent touches sound erotic, hehe.

Violet Chapter 14: Screw Normal - TEASER

Hope you're all doing okay! Just finishing off this chapter and thought you could all do with a teaser before I post it. Enjoy!

“Edward,” I gasped.

“Hello, Bella,” he replied, his green eyes beseeching me as I became utterly awestruck. Was it even possible to say that I had missed him more than I was letting on?

“Are you ready for our cinema date then?” He asked me; a normal thing to say. It was…odd.

“Yes,” I replied and smiled sweetly at him. “I’ve missed you.” It just came out. I couldn’t help myself. Crap. How embarrassing! I blushed redder than ever as I realized that I had been thinking aloud.

Edward chuckled at me, brought out his hand to touch my cheek. For one moment, I thought he was going to kiss me and I was freaking out inside. But I didn’t move; it wasn’t as if I was going to stop him. He traced his finger down the side of my cheek and then he smiled at me. Did he want to kill me? “I’ve missed you too, Flowergirl.” He removed his hand from my face and then looked at his watch. “Come on then you,” he whispered. “The movie is going to start any minute.”

I hooked my purse over my shoulder and walked with him down to the bottom of my block. I expected a limo like Jake’s or something of the kind, but instead there was no vehicle outside except Mrs. Cope’s old banger from downstairs.

“I thought we’d walk,” he told me simply. “It’s still light and a rather warm evening.”

“That sounds nice,” I responded.

And we walked.

It kind of reminded me of the first time after he had me when I got the job at Starbucks. It was sort of…nostalgic. Speaking to him was even better than I had anticipated. I thought it might have been awkward, that he might have brought up the night at Violet, or Jasper or even Mike – but he didn’t. Instead, we talked about work and other things in which we thrilled. I found myself falling for his charm all over again and in a way, I wished we never reached the cinema so our conversation wouldn't cease. Was I really feeling this vulnerable after everything that happened, that I was falling in love with the next person I spent time with? However, I remembered all the conflicted feelings I had felt around Edward before everything happened… and the feelings now were no dissimilar. It was just that at that particular, I felt more at ease; like there was no guilt this time, just freedom and liberation. You know when you feel like nothing else matters except how you’re living at that specific moment in time? When I was with Edward that evening, yup, well, that was completely it.

Edward paused, his brow furrowing again. He sat down on the bed next to her and Bella stared at him, her eyes watered with tears and her cheeks rouge with embarrassment. He had never seen her look so vulnerable and…beautiful. He had expected her to look away, but she didn’t. She just kept staring at him; it was their stare and this was just them. Their emotions were raw and untainted. He lifted his hand hesitantly and she broke away from the stare and regarded his hand moving closer to hers.


Bella's breathing hitched as she watched Edward edge closer. Inside her head, she was screaming. Back off! She wanted to shout. Is it too fast? However, she had gotten this far and to back out now would have been a felony. Her breathing was heavy, but to her ultimate delight, she didn’t move away from him. She froze as his hand touched hers and the electric current was more than apparent. But she didn’t jump like she expected to. Instead, she found warmth beginning to run throughout her body and the urge to move even closer to him. The burn in her lower stomach returned and suddenly, she was on fire.

Violet Chapter 13: Edward's Package

Hmm the title is quite misleading... is it not?

I liked writing this chapter although it wasn't very eventful but I wanted to show that Edward and Bella were realizing the seriousness of their feelings for each other. I mean yeah, they're not like old friends, but the week they spent with each other was pretty intense and it's obvious that they miss each other's company.

And what better way to do that than by having a normal date to the cinema? Of course, EFC doesn't do normal, so the next chapter is going to be interesting. I guess we can all breathe now that Mike is gone, Bella no longer hates Edward (for now) and Edward is sort of cleaning his act up (for now).

I predict more fluff in the next chapter, to make up for all of the angst I've been throwin atchya. Don't hold your breath for lemons straight away though, I don't play like that.

But they are on their way there, trust me.

His hand was moving up my thigh and it wasn’t stopping. “Please,” I murmured and begged him to keep going. We were both naked now, but for some reason I couldn’t see all of him. However, I still smiled because I knew that he would be beautiful.

His hand reached me and I moaned in ecstasy. “I knew it would be good,” I whispered into his ear as he rubbed me. “I knew I would finally give in.”

His other hand was moving around the rest of my body, pleasuring me intensely. His thumb grazed my nipple and then back down and around my navel, around my back and then back to massaging my breasts. “Yes,” I breathed.

I stared into his eyes as my impending release was building up beyond my control. Yes! It was finally happening and I was welcoming it with open arms. He never took his gaze off of me and his expression never wavered. His intense stare was melting me, and so was the feeling that he was giving me. Oh God, I was about to die and go to heaven. I had forgotten how amazing sex was, but this was just touching.

It was coming. “Oh,” I groaned as I could feel it. “Oh God,” I moaned again, bucking my hips up to his touch. I was merciless and his stare was intoxicating. I had known from the first day I met him that he was something different; something special. And fuck, his fingers were amazing.
